2011

2011 has been one eventful year for me. Unfortunately it's shadowed by more negatives than positives. Over half the year was spent stuck in the middle of some very persistent friend drama. There was a failed holiday that came from this drama, and in all honesty I wish I'd saved my money. I finished my time at my first college, and although I loved everyone I met there I couldn't wait to get away. I left with grades that were ok, but certainly weren't what I wanted. My boyfriend became my ex boyfriend which was difficult but probably the best thing for both of us. And my skin problem became increasingly worse, then got better just as I was going to go to the doctor to get it looked at! Typical. Also, all my friends went to uni which for a while left me a bit stranded as they are all pretty spread out across the country. Oh yeah and summer wasn't warm at all.

Regardless there are many positives too. I set myself on pursuing photography as a future career, and got myself onto a course that would help me achieve this. Granted, it was a second college course (which in turn has made me the oldest on the course) but through it I've met some truly amazing people and I am far happier here than I was at my previous place of education. Even if it does mean I have to get up at 6am to get there. My blog got a bit more successful and granted me access to the amazing Look Show at Westfields which was something I was so happy to be able to go to.. Also, my turning 18 opened me up to the world of clubs which has certainly been fun :) I was too much of a good teenager before hand and waited until I was legal to do any of this stuff! Regardless, I've enjoyed that one as much as I can (which created the photo above).
From the bad of my friends going to uni, it has created good when I've had the chance to visit them. I've met some pretty cool people and had laughs in places I'd probably never usually go. More of that to come in the new year :)

All in all, 2011 has had it's good points but I'm certainly happy to say goodbye to it. Fingers crossed 2012 is a good year, provides more success, a hot summer and that we don't all die :)
